We focus on hands-on service that has an immediate, lasting impact on the community, rather than just send out checks. In 2007-2008, our 30 members volunteered for more than 800 service hours!
We regularly check-in with community leaders and organizations to determine the needs of the community. Our service team then designs service projects to fill those needs.
We are currently mentoring students at Rockdale Elementary through the Adopt a Class program, serving food at St. Francis Seraph Soup Kitchen and at Ronald McDonald House on a monthly basis, and we volunteer every other month at the Freestore Foodbank. In the spring, we are planning an Adopt a Class field trip, a large scale service project for Kiwanis One Day in April, and are researching building a playground.
For upcoming service projects, please check out our CALENDAR.
